Glendon “Anna Conda” Hyde for District 6
A community leader, long time political activist, and drag queen, in 2010 Anna Conda threw her feather boa into the political ring and announced her candidacy for District 6 Supervisor in San Francisco. As creative director, I took the lead in designing a strong visual identity for the campaign that appealed to a broad demographic in what is arguably the most culturally diverse neighborhood in the city.
The design of Anna’s campaign materials took inspiration from sources as different as World War II American propoganda posters, vintage signage, and punk rock memorabilia from the ’70s and ’80s.
This postcard proved to be a quick and effective way to communicate Anna’s core messages
The campaign website provided an in depth look at Anna’s platform and utilized the most current social networking tools
